YOU CAN LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE
My ultimate goal is to create validating, non-judgmental environment to help you feel safe and comfortable. I believe in offering support, guidance and knowledge to each of my clients.I have been trained in DBT therapy to teach you skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and modify behaviors. You can develop the healthy life you desire. Humans experience emotions! Sometimes we may think there is a right way and a wrong way to feel and distress means, we are feeling the wrong way. That is a ton of pressure! Sometimes, our emotions become distressing. Few are taught to manage emotions effectively and distress can lead to self-blame, defeated feelings, strained relationships, self-harm, and more.
I WOULD BE HONORED TO HELP YOU!
I believe in treating clients holistically. We are more than our mental health. We are all individuals and our experiences are unique. My clinical focus is creating an environment that is safe, unique to your personal needs, and promotes personal growth. We will work together to replace unhealthy coping with positive skills, proven to work.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I graduated with my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. I am a fully licensed LLP and an LPC. I have been working in the field of counseling for many years and have received instruction in the areas of Parenting, Trauma, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, CBT. and Anxiety. However, the greatest instruction I have received is the variety of experiences I have overcome, in my own life. I specialize in helping people feel empowered to take the control back of their emotions, their past, their circumstances, their relationships and ultimately their lives.
I work with individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
You are reading this to decide if I have the tools to help you with whatever circumstance brought you here today. I believe I do have the tools you need. I think everyone is valuable and has the ability to learn skills to overcome their circumstances and become the person they would like to be. You are strong enough, important enough and deserving of growth and healing, and I will do my best to help you grow, heal and THRIVE in everything you encounter.

LET’S MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE POSITIVE AND SOMETHING YOU LOOK FORWARD TO
I enjoy working with people of various cultures and ages. I spent a large portion of my earlier years working with adolescents and teaching parenting groups utilizing the STEP program. I greatly enjoy the individual and couple journey of therapy; particularly as they navigate the challenges we all face in life may it be depression, anxiety, or the infidelity of a partner. It's during those times self-care and treating ourselves with care is most important. I enjoy being a part of people's journey and helping them to achieve their goal.
Together we will put a considerable amount of time and energy into our sessions. I want your experience to be positive and something you look forward to. It is important you play an active role in sessions and at home with the things that we discuss. I love working with my clients and watching them change their lives.
I look forward to meeting you!

LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO MEET YOUR GOALS!
I enjoy seeing clients who feel motivated to make changes in their lives, even if they don't know how or where to begin. Working through grief and loss, dealing with anxiety and depression, struggling with employment issues or academic concerns, and so many other parts of life can feel overwhelming and impossible. Motivation for positive, meaningful changes in life is the first step towards making those changes a reality.
It is my belief that the most effective therapy is when all parties involved work as a team towards the same goal. Therefore, my role as a counselor is to support you, cooperating with you to create and meet treatment plan goals. Your problems are valid and worth discussing, so let's work together to take those next few steps, and create a structure for positive growth in the future!

I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. I received my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, and received my Master's Degree for Clinical Counseling from Aquinas College. I have worked with adolescents, teens, adults, individuals, families, and groups. I primarily practice counseling using Person-Centered Therapy techniques. I also have education and experience using Family-Systems Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy techniques.
In my practice, I place the greatest emphasis on the client's words and experiences. I encourage my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly, and help them to process feelings or develop new perspectives. I also help my clients to set short-term, achievable objectives, which will help them move towards long-term goals. I hope that together, we can make progress towards your goals!

My hope is for our sessions to be a safe space for you to explore any and all elements of yourself, your life, and your connections with others. I like working from a person-centered and strength-based approach as well as looking at connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we will identify your strengths and areas you would like to see growth.
I am also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator so I can work in the area of premarital/marriage
counseling. While in counseling, unpleasant emotions and topics may come to the surface, and I will be alongside you to work through them with compassion. I will challenge you at times, such as encouraging you to look at a situation from a different perspective. Everyone's personal
journey is different, and I'm excited to join you on yours!
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
First thing you need to know about me is that I'm a giant nerd. I will often recommend books, movies, videos, podcasts, and TedTalks to my clients when their subject matter is connected to our discussions. When I'm not working, I'm playing with my fur niece, reading (fantasy, non-fiction, romances/romantic comedies), hanging out with friends and family, collaging, cleaning (yes, for fun), and laughing alongside my favorite YouTubers.

Taking the first step and asking for help can be hard and opening up to a stranger can feel even more uncomfortable. I strive to bridge that gap and make starting therapy just a little bit easier. My approach blends evidence-based practices like CBT, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness because therapy should meet you where you are.
Beyond the modalities and credentials, my own journey of healing and self-discovery led me to what I believe is my divine purpose: walking alongside people as they navigate life’s highs and lows, helping them move toward healing and inner peace.
I believe true healing happens in safe, affirming spaces I believe true healing happens in safe, affirming spaces—where you don’t have to shrink, explain away your emotions, or carry everything alone. My goal is to help you reconnect with who you truly are, so you can show up as your best self in your work, your relationships, your creative passions, and most importantly, in your own life.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Wayne State University and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Kentucky.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I find joy in creating content for my mental health page @therapeutic.ari, online shopping, trips to target, and practicing self-care— whether it's treating myself to a new hairstyle and lash extensions, taking my puppies to the dog park, or spending time with the people I love.
